Doug graduated with a BS in Animal Science from the Univeristy of New Hampshire in 1984.  He spent several years as a photographer and white water guide in Colorado before returning to the east coast and completing his Physical Therapy degree at Daemen College in upstate New York, in 1994.  In 2002 Doug graduated from the University of Indianapolis with his post graduate Masters degree in Physical Therapy.

Doug has been a full time practicing therapist since 1994.  He has lectured in the Physical Therapy programs of several universities and has presented seminars to physical therapy students on amputee and spinal cord injury rehabilitation issues.  He has taught courses on anatomy and kinesiology and continues to have a keen interest in clinical research.

Doug is analytical and methodical, always looking for the root or underlying reason for a set of symptoms rather than just addressing the obvious symptoms directly.

Doug continues to be active as one of only a handful of National and International classifiers for the sport of wheelchair rugby  (called quadrugby here in the states).
